We have been offering training on the Mac OS X solutions since it was released.  We developed and delivered a Mac OS X transitions course for the entire Mac based staff of Hallmark Cards in 2003.  In 2005, our president Rob Daniels, became a Apple Certified Trainer and started teaching the official Mac OS X 10.4 Support and Server Essentials courses.

Sierra 101 - Support Essentials macOS v 10.12

MacOS Sierra 10.12 Support Essentials is a three-day, hands-on course that provides an in-depth exploration of troubleshooting on OS Sierra. This course is designed to give you a tour of the breadth of functionality of OS Sierra and the best methods for effectively supporting users of OS Sierra systems. The course is a combination of lectures and hands-on case study exercises that provide practical real-world experience.

Prerequisite: Knowledge of Mac OS and basic computer navigation

El Capitan Server 5 Mac OS X v 10.11

OS X Server 5 is a three-day course designed to give technical coordinators and entry-level system administrators the skills, tools, and knowledge to implement and maintain a network that uses OS X Server on El Capitan.  Students learn how to install and configure OS X Server to provide network-based services, such as file sharing, web and wikis.  Tools for efficiently managing and deploying OS X are also covered.  The course is a combination of lectures and hands-on case study exercises that provide practical real-world experiences.  

Prerequisites: Understanding of OS X, Experience with OS X in a network environment, Basic OS X troubleshooting experience or completion of Support Essentials 101

Mac OS Sierra Support Essentials and Server 5 for El Capitan - Apple Certified Technical Coordinator Bootcamp

The Apple Certified Technical Coordinator (ACTC) Boot Camp is a combined delivery of the Sierra 101 and Server 5 courses and associated certification exams. This hands-on course provides an in-depth exploration of functionality and troubleshooting in OS X and the best methods for effectively supporting users of OS X systems.

This course also gives technical coordinators and entry-level system administrators the skills, tools, and knowledge to implement and maintain a network that uses OS X Server. Students learn how to install and configure OS X Server to provide network-based services, such as file sharing, authentication, and printing. Tools for efficiently managing and deploying OS X and software updates are also covered.

iOS Class - Managing Apple Devices v3

Managing Apple Devices is an entirely new hands-on course created by Apple Pro Training Series authors Arek Dreyer and Kevin M. White. In order to offer the best possible training experience.

Service Fundamentals

Class Description

Apple Service Fundamentals is a 2-day course that teaches students the skills they need to handle face-to-face customer interactions involving all Apple devices.  Successful completion of the Apple Service Fundamentals Exam fulls the prerequisite for Apple Certified Mac Technician (ACMT) 2016 certification.  Interactive discussions and hands-on exercises guide students through the best way to manage custer interactions, the required safety precautions, and basic troubleshooting skills.  Students' knowledge and skills are tested and reinforced by working through real-world scenarios and role-playing.  

Please note:  ACMT certification requires passing grades on TWO (2) certification exams -- OS X Service Fundamentals and hardware.  All ACMT classes require prior knowledge of Mac OS.  Attendees without prior experience in Mac OS, or exposure to computer repair issues and techniques, will find achieving full ACMT certification challenging.

ACMT 

Class Description

 

Apple Certified Macintosh Technician (ACMT) certification verifies the ability to perform basic troubleshooting and repair of both Apple desktop and laptop systems. ACMT certification exams emphasize identifying and resolving common OS X problems, and using Apple support products and practices to repair Apple hardware efficiently.  (ACMT certification does NOT cover iOS device repair.) 

 

We will guide you in learning Apple hardware specifications, troubleshooting techniques, component isolation steps, take-apart procedures, and general service guidelines and resources: everything you need to diagnose and repair Apple computers.  In this 6 day training, we combine lecture, demonstration, and hands-on lab exercises to prepare you for certification as Apple hardware service technicians  The class also provides an intensive, in-depth exploration of troubleshooting OS X and isolating a hardware issue.  This class is specifically geared towards Apple Authorized Service Providers and Apple Self-Supporting organizations, and is designed to give you the best methods for effectively supporting users of OS X systems.  

 

The class is a combination of lectures and hands-on, case-study exercises that provide practical real-world experience.
